Can Vibrational Frequency Improve Spiritual Wellbeing?

We all know that an effective wellness practice incorporates physical and emotional elements, such as getting enough sleep, and making the time to meditate. However, one area of wellbeing, which routinely slips under the radar is our spiritual health.

The relationship between spirituality and wellbeing has been well-researched, with many studies concluding that a connection between the two exists – yet it's often hard to pinpoint the exact science behind it. One such study, published in 2020, defined the spiritual dimension of well-being as "a sense of connection with others, sense of life, and relationship with a transcendent force."

The study also highlighted how living in a materialistic society, which emphasises individual achievement, has separated people from their natural desire to connect with the bigger issues of life: "In a postmodern culture mostly focused on fulfilling the material needs of individuals, it is worth investing in the development of resources associated with spirituality." Which gives us at 1 People yet another reason to oppose fast fashion and conspicuous consumption.

The basic concept of vibrational frequency – as a spiritual phenomenon – is that our body is made of molecules, which are vibrating constantly, and creating electromagnetic energy waves. Proponents of vibrational frequency suggest that it's possible to change the rate of these vibrations, at a cellular level, to improve overall well being.

Michael Bernard Beckwith has written extensively about spirituality, also appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show to discuss vibrational frequency. Oprah later said that he "teaches that the vision we set for our lives begins a sacred process of unfolding that unlocks everything that is unique, mighty and magnificent inside each of us."
